Victoria Wedding Photography – Styled Bridal Editorial
This creative shoot took place the day before Earth Day, so we decided to include vendors that are passionate about and provide ethical and eco-friendly services and products. The designer behind Reclamation, Trista Smith, made the dresses out of recycled lace table runners and other pieces of lace. Elate Cosmetics creates their own vegan, cruelty free line of makeup and Hunt and Gather Hair Co also uses cruelty free, eco friendly hair products. Powell Floral supports local farms and also forages a lot of her own blooms. Only natural light was used to shoot these images.
We were inspired by the vibrant blooms of spring, the brightly lit industrial space located in the historic district of Fan Tan Alley and our model’s unique look. When I first found Dahlia online I knew instantly that I HAD to work with her. We decided to incorporate some weird, quirky poses that would really stand out. This is one of those sessions where as I’m shooting I’m saying to myself “Hell yes. This is AWESOME.”
The community and support system within the wedding industry of Victoria is amazing. Everyone is able to let their creative juices flow during these type of shoots while collectively working towards the common goal of growing our businesses. When you bring together a group of like-minded and passionate people, magic can happen. If you are planning a wedding or any event and in need of vendors, please do yourself a favour and check out these talented vendors. You won’t regret working with them!
