Beautiful private waterfront property Nanoose Bay, Vancouver Island, BC wedding
Vancouver Wedding Photography
I first met with these two after they responded to a model call for a styled shoot that I was planning in Vancouver. Since then we’ve become friends outside of our photography/client relationship and I am so grateful for that. I mean it when I say I love maintaining friendships with my clients and being a part of their important milestones.
Jaclyn & Patrick are two of the most down to earth people that I know, so it was only fitting that they had a relaxing backyard wedding at Patrick’s family’s beautiful waterfront home in the quaint town of Nanoose Bay. We were gifted a beautiful summer day that truly showed off the beauty of this property and landscape. There is seriously nothing that can beat a Pacific Northwest ocean view!
A friend sealed the deal and only the bridal party and immediate family members attended the ceremony; it was so special and intimate. They gave me so much freedom when it came to portrait time. So many options for backdrops were available including Patrick’s dad’s bad-ass Mustang and a beach that was literally right behind the head table. After the emotional speeches were done I snuck the bride and groom away to take some sunset photos. We used a smoke bomb for a dramatic effect and boy was it epic. It’s very apparent how much Jaclyn & Patrick love each other, but during the wedding it became even more apparent how much everyone else loves them just as much.
There wasn’t a single second during the day that I felt like I was working. I was welcomed with open arms by everyone and am so happy they trusted me to capture their day.
